「政策の科学」関連　海外情報　　期間：10月17日～10月21日
CRDS科学技術イノベ－ション政策ユニットにおいて、海外の「政策のための科学」関連のインターネットサイト（例えばSOSPの掲示板であるSciSIP Listserv^[1]）やツィッターでの関連タグ（「政策のための科学」関連のツィートの抽出ができる）* から、日本の「科学技術イノベーション政策の科学」関係者にとって関係が深いと思われる記事や情報を選択し、以下のとおりまとめました。（文責：林）

～記事：ビッグデータが如何に公共サービスを向上させるか～
A New Frontier: How Big Data Can Improve Government Services (10月17日)
NYUのJulia Lane教授による、ビッグデータ活用が公共サービス向上にもたらす影響について書いた記事。また彼女は、“Big Data and Social Science: A Practical Guide to Methods and Tools”というタイトルの本を先頃上梓した。データの扱い方やモデルの構築について、UMETRICS等のネットワーク、そして倫理的な諸問題の扱い方について章が割かれている。
