CRDS科学技術イノベ－ション政策ユニットにおいて、海外の「政策のための科学」関連のインターネットサイト（例えばSOSPの掲示板であるSciSIP Listserv[1]）やツィッターでの関連タグ（「政策のための科学」関連のツィートの抽出ができる）* から、日本の「科学技術イノベーション政策の科学」関係者にとって関係が深いと思われる記事や情報を選択し、以下のとおりまとめました。（文責：林）

Ⅲ. The Problem with Evidence-Based Policies
ハーバード大学経済学部のRicardo Hausmann教授による記事。エビデンスに基づく政策に、ランダム化比較試験(Randomized Control Trials)を使用することは多くの誤解を招く結果となるという主張。外的妥当性が存在するために実験を客観的に評価できないことが多いためである。

Ⅳ. S&T Indicators Conference 2016
9月14日～16日スペインでEuropean Network of Indicator Designers（ENID）主催による科学技術指標カンファレンスが催される。テーマは、既存の手法が適用できない、社会的、地理的、そして認知的な空間についての指標についてである。具体的には
a) Data infrastructure and data quality for evolving research metrics.
b) International benchmarking of innovation: challenges and adequacy for developing and developed regions.
c) Measuring diverse research “qualities”: indicators of societal impact, engagement, participation, and local relevance.
d) Collaborations, mobility and internationalization.
e) Social sciences and the humanities.
f) Smart use of indicators for innovation policy.
カンファレンスでの発表論文締め切りは3月14日。

政策の科学との関係は薄いと思われますが、SciSIP掲示板に「デザインと科学」という観点で興味深い投稿があったので参考として添付致します。

Ⅴ. Catalyzing Scientific Innovation with Design Thinking
スタンフォード大学デザインリサーチセンターのDr. Rieko Yajimaが、論文をDesign Management Reviewに発表した。論旨は、科学者コミュニティは社会において重要な役割を担っているが、イノベーションの効果的な実現のために手法としての「デザイン思考」が科学でも求められているといもの。SciSIP掲示板でも好意的に照会されている。

Ⅵ. MIT just launched a new journal, “Design and Science”
MITが新しい雑誌”Journal of Design and Science”を創刊した。創刊号にはMITメディアラボ所長伊藤穰一氏が寄稿している。
