SciREX has a program that guides the incumbent government officials to be trained to make evidence-based policies. The following is an example of the program held in 2017.

Phase I

Held at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)

Phase II

Phase II was held, inviting young researchers involved in science policymaking and URAs. Several teams were formed among the participants, each of which discussed various policies in detail, and made policy recommendations.
