'Science for RE-designing Science, Technology and Innovation Policy ("SciREX" hereinafter)' pays utmost attention to the use of the information on this website. However, it does not mean to guarantee the security when it is in use and reliability of the information on this website. Also, the descriptions on the documents provided by this website may be changed or halted without any prior notice.
SciREX will not take any responsibility at all for any damages to the users incurred from the use of the website, contents of the documents, or the change of the documents. Also, it does not take any responsibility at all for the websites of the organizations linked to this website.
2. Scope of information collected
- This website automatically collects personal information such as users' domain names and IP addresses. The website also automatically collects data on user activity on the website, using cookies.
- When inquiries are made, senders may be asked to provide their individual or corporate names, and other relevant information. The sender's e-mail addresses will be visible to the recipient.
3. Purpose of use
- The information collected under 2.1. will be used as a reference in ensuring smooth management of the services provided on this website.
- The inquiries collected under 2.2. will be visible to the person in charge of the "Science of Science Policy" program at the organization involved in the program, and, as needed, to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the program-related organizations. Also, depending on the contents of the inquiries, the inquiries may be forwarded or introduced to other persons in charge of the inquiries, only based on the consent of the senders. Also, the sender's name and e-mail address may be used for replying to or confirming the inquiries.
4. Suspension of use and restrictions on provision
The manager of this website, Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Research Center at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (SciREX Center) or anyone tasked to take care of part of the SciREX Center's work shall not use the collected information for any other purposes except 3. above, or provide the information to a third party, based on the "Act on the protection of individual information possessed by a government organization (Act No. 58 of 2003)," "Act on the protection of individual information possessed by an independent administrative organization (Act No. 59 of 2003)," and "Basic policy on strengthening information security measures by a government organization (September 15, 2005)." However, such information as statisticaslly processed access to this website and user profile may be disclosed.
5. Security measures
The SciREX Center at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies will take necessary measures to prevent leakage, loss or damage of the collected information, and appropriately manage the collected information. Its contractors are prepared with necessary measures to appropriately manage the collected information. Also, the organizations that are not the contractors but related to this program have their own measures for protecting the information.

- The use of this website and understanding and application of the conditions for use of the website shall abide by the Japanese Constitution, unless otherwise specified.
