  • Abstract:

There is a growing number of controversial societal topics on the agenda of the Rathenau Instituut which refer to new and current developments in the field of science, technology and innovation. We will discuss how the crumbling trust relation between state and citizen undermines the reception of new technologies. We will further discuss the call from inside universities to invest in radical change of our scientific practice especially in universities. We will shortly discuss the contributions of the Rathenau Instituut and sum up the current governmental science policy agenda in The Netherlands.
