Abstract	Analyses of the star scientists based on the "Star Scientists Cohort Dataset" developed by the JST-RISTEX-funded project of "Star Scientists and Japanese Innovation" : Star scientists produce more papers, have more citation numbers and make more patent applications than others. Also, they train excellent students and postdocs than others, They further establish venture companies and the venture companies they are involved make better business than others. Additionally, the star scientists who are working with the industries have better research results, making a virtuous cycle between science and business.
