+EU-Japan Research Cooperation via Horizon Europe and Moonshot

EU and Japan signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in science, technology and innovation via video-conferencing on May 26, 2020. It will officially enhance the research cooperation between EU's Horizon Europe and Japan's Moonshot programs. The research areas will include health, climate change, digital transition and ageing societies, and coordination of their efforts in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. The full report is here.

The SciREX Center contributed to the above by being involved in organizing the EU-Japan Science Policy Forum on October 5, 2019 focusing on the future cooperation between Horizon Europe and Moonshot (see the summary here).
