++Japan's STI Policy News - summary translations

Summary translations of Japan’s STI policy news items are collected here. The sources in Japanese include the websites of the Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CSTI),  Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI)-related ministries and their affiliations, and universities and research institutions all over the nation (translation responsibility: Kazuko Nakata @SciREX Center).

Discussion at CSTI:  Comprehensive Database to Promote Evidence-based STI policies: October 5, 2017
To promote evidence-based STI policies, relevant information is required, including (1) budgets and human resources (INPUT), (2) universities and research institutions that are the primary R&D promoters (ACTIVITY), (3) results of the R&D activities (OUTPUT), and (4) economic effects (OUTCOME).
