Outline:
This session will focus on the human resources and capabilities needed in Japan to implement STI policies under the transformation to meet social challenges. Professor Susana Borrás, Copenhagen Business School,Denmark will illustrate desirable "domestic capacity" for implementing STI policies, drawing examples of Green Transformation. This will be followed by Mr. Victor Mulas, Tokyo Development Learning Center, the World Bank, who will share cases from both Japanese and overseas that address transformations, such as Smart City Initiatives. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Michiko Iizuka, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Japan.
