Outline | The importance of a new policy formation method that reflects the patients' views has begun to be recognized worldwide. However, it is hard to say that Japan has sufficient participation by patients in policy formation, even in the areas of difficult diseases where the patients' participation is said to be active than any other areas. Under such circumstances, one of our research focus has been to form "Evidence-Creating Commons" where various stakeholders, including patients and patient groups, medical researchers, and policymakers can continuously discuss about medical care and medical research policies. In this seminar, we will talk about the Priority Setting for R&D programs in Rare and Difficult Diseases that was disccussed in the Commons, and invite discussions with the audience. |
