Science, Technology, and Innovation Governence (STIG), one of the SciREX core centers at the University of Tokyo, will hold the "14th Virtual Government Seminar: Implementation and Challenge of Design Thinking - Learning from the case of Denmark - " in the afternoon of February 28 as below. Dr. Christian Bason from Denmark will be one of the keynote speakers and join the panel discussion.

Outline

The Japanese Government decided to take Digital Government Promotion Policy to improve the government work using service design in 2017. It is to try to have efficient business proesses by effectively using digital technologies. The design-based approach in a digital era can well be applied to all policy fields, not only in business processes.



We are going to invite Dr. Christian Bason, the world famous leader of design mind in public sector and also the Director of the Denmark Design Center, and talk about the value of design mind for policymaking and how to make it widely used. He worked for 7 years until 2014 at the Mind Lab that the Denmark Government established ahead of the other countries.
