Outline | The discussion on the need of personnel who can be a bridge for matching the university research results and the society's and industry's needs began in late 1990's. The early 2000's saw the development of trainining for ind-univ-gov coordinators or URAs. The importance of their function has been recognized, but how they have actually been involved in bridging has not been made clear.
This seminar will focus on what type of talents are required and should be trained based on how the ind-univ-gov coordinators and URAs have actually been helpful. This seminar will be based on the GRIPS discussion paper 2018-10 "Academic Research Promotion and Administration in Japan: Industry-University-Government Coordinators and URAs from Competition to Collaboration." |
