Outline

With the declining population and aging in progress, Japan is facing critical issues of stopping the increasing medical and elderly care costs and establishing a local medical and elderly care system to ultimately build a society of health and longevity. To be prepared for such a society, proactive actions are needed to promote urgent development in life science such as prevention of lifestyle diseases and early detectiion and care of diseases. The results of the development will lead to a life innovation that will activate the economy and the society.

The symposium will introduce the frontier projects that are run by industry-academia-local area collaoboration and at the same time deepen the understanding of the future policy issues to make a society of health and longevity through life innovation.
